“You cowboy around with the Avengers some. Guys got what, armor, magic, super-powers. Super Strength. Shrink-dust. Grow-rays. Magic. Healing factors. I’m an orphan raised by carnies. Fighting with a stick and a string from the paleolithic era.”

“We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.” - Grant Morrison

Hey, why are comics so expensive?

ihavebadopinions:

WELL, question I asked myself, the fact of the matter is, this question goes far, far back, and even ties into the question of ‘why is there so little visible genre diversity in comics?’ So let’s get to it.

Marvel movies + Wolverine’s sass

sarafena:

Can we please talk about the fact that Tony doesn’t even question that

ffrenchtoast:

It frustrates me that there are still people who think that if a female character isn’t slinging a gun or swinging a sword, she’s automatically categorized as a ‘whiney damsel in distress’ or something along those lines. Like a female character needs a weapon in order for her to be a strong character. I see this a lot when it comes to Pepper, that all she does is scream and get rescued by Tony -

No. Just. No.

Years of being Tony Stark’s secretary teaches you patience, tolerance, and molds an otherworldly work ethic - but it does not teach you how to react when crazy guys holding electric whips or wearing big metal suits try to attack you. She can scream when she’s scared. Any regular person would do the same. And yes, Tony saves her when she’s in trouble - but don’t forget, in the last two Iron Man movies, she’s had a hand in saving Tony not once, not twice, but three times.

Pepper Potts is sassy, smart, and she has willingly put herself in harm’s way to help save the person she loves - all without having to shoot a gun.

So basically, if you don’t like Pepper Potts, you’re wrong and you should feel bad.

A short summary as to why I don’t think this “Justice League” movie will work out:

First, the Avengers did it first. We all know it. It’s pretty fucking obvious. And this doesn’t mean “oMG DC CANNoT DO THIS MARVEL DID IT 1ST!!!!11!!!”

Personally, I’m all for comic films in my theatres. I like comic films. They’re my guilty pleasure.

But here’s the thing with the Avengers: It was a fucking risk.

so do you think because the iron man script was basically improvised, that’s why we see rdj as iron man?

because he actually is tony stark? because what rdj was given was so slim that he would walk on to set and just be “okay. i’m just gonna say the first thing that comes out of my mouth”

this is just helping my theory that robert downey jr is secretly in possession of iron man technology and saving the world with the rest of the avengers cast
